Such a good dog. “Ok little human I’ll wait here while you go play in the puddle.”
he places the leash down on the ground so carefully

Some incredible concepts for Tangled. See more here!
One of the biggest reasons I’m kinda meh about Tangled… I’m always painfully aware of the caliber of movie ‘Rapunzel’ was going to be…
r u fucking kidding me she almost had a CROSSBOW and they swapped it out for a FRYING PAN
lets talk about how her clothes are all ragged and her hair is a mess and she looks like a vagrant child
an 18 yr old girl kept in a tower, barely literate, able to paint like a master, doesn’t know how to talk to anyone besides her captor, verging on feral with paint in her hair and fire in her eyes AND A FUCKING CROSSBOW
idk I like the movie rapunzel more
This is one of the things that annoys me about classic story tales being turned into modern movies. Most of the time they are for children, but there are some for adults like Snow White and the Huntsmen and Red Riding Hood. The problem is the adult movies are focused more on the adult aspects rather than the story and the problem for children’s movies is they are focused on the age appropriateness. I want a story that is focused solely on the telling of the story with disregard for the age of the audience. If Tangled had been meant for adults, the story would have been sexualized with distracting visual effects with little regard for the story of the girl. In actuality, Repunzel would have had no experience with social interaction, no knowledge of things not present in her tower or the few books she had, her only source of information was her demented captor, no concept of styles or correct manners, and no regard for basic social rules because she had no need of them for 18 years. I would like a story that shows those aspects of the story but does not sexualize it or take away from it because of the intended audience.
